Dr. Xingsheng Jin, deputy director, graduated from the Paleontology and Stratigraphy Major in the department of geology of Nanjin University in China in July, 1987, and has worked in Zhejiang Museum of Natural History from then on. Mr. Jin has engaged in the preservation, exhibition, excavation, appraisement and research of paleo-biological fossils. Moreover, he had an advanced study and training in Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Japan from October, 2002 to September, 2003, and received the degree of Doctor of Science in the University of Toyama in Japan in March, 2009.
Dr. Jin is now the Deputy-curator of Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, research librarian, member of Zhejiang Cultural Relics Identification Committee, and councilman of Zhejiang Provincial Archeological Association. His research field contains paleo-fish, paleo-terrapin, dinosaur, fauna cultural sites and paleontological environment. Recently, Dr. Jin is engaging in the research of dinosaur and dinosaur eggs, museum geological exhibition, and so forth.
The domain Dr. Jin takes interest in are fauna cultural sites and paleontological environment, dinosaur and dinosaur eggs; in addition, dinosaur eggs is his latest research point. He hopes to exchange with people around the world in the domain of fossil research and appraisement.
In academic results, Dr. Jin has published more than ten professional papers, issued six theses in SCI (Science Citation Index), and one research treatise (co-authored), authored one and co-authored three scientific books.
