On the morning of November 16th, part of the wildlife specimens donated by Mr. Kenneth E. Behring, world-famous philanthropist arrived at Zhejiang Museum of Natural History.
There was in total 6 pieces all from Africa, including five species, in detail, an African elephant, two Chacma
baboons, an African lion, and a caracal. Produced by well-known arts, they were sophisticated and lively. The vivid African elephant was an adult male elephant with 5 meters long.
Zhejiang Museum of Natural History signed the donation contract with Mr. Behring last May, including the first
donated 130 specimens (worth 7 million dollars). So The Behring Wildlife Hall as a permanent exhibition was
prepared on the 4th floor of the museum for the donation. There are 22 specimens since the African lion received at first on May 29th, and there will be another 100 CITES specimens and 5 NON-CITES ones in December.
