On August 4th, 2015, there was a grand meeting in Jiushan Archipelago, Xiangshan county, Ningbo city, Zhejiang province. The deserted island covering an area of 2 hectares only received more than 30 experts, volunteers and staff in the reserve from Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, Oregon State University, BirdLife International, National Centre of Bird Ringing, Fudan University, Zhejiang Wild Birds Society and Hongkong Bird Watching Society. They came and worked together on the ringing of tern fledglings
With great help of all the people, the tern fledglings had been done stalking, measuring and ringing, and there were finally 31 tern fledglings successfully made banding. It also marked the project, i.e. 2015 Artificial Attraction and Restoration Project of the Sterna Bernsteini Population, which had come to a smooth end and met with success once again.
Meanwhile, the project term also attracted and restored the Sterna Bernsteini Population in the bird natural reserve in Wuzhishan Archipelago, and successfully bred 4 tern fledglings and more than 1500 Greater Crested Tern fledglings. According to the data of Mazu Archipelago this year, the number of the Sterna Bernsteini got close to a hundred at the first time.
