The Chinese district in The Exhibition of South Asian Dinosaurs, co-held by Zhejiang Museum of Natural History (ZMNH) and Japan Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum (FPDM), has been arranged after the professional staff from ZMNH departments of Earth Science and Life Science worked hard from July 2nd to 5th (four days in total). The exhibition will be open in FPDM in Katsuyama City on July 10th, 2015.
There are 17 groups (or items) of collections from our museum participating in the exhibition which is composed of various countries on a large scale. Despite the complicated formalities and heavy procedure, the display has been in preparation for nearly half a year from the beginning of 2015 to the arrival in Japan on June 23rd.
This exhibition, lasting from the early Jurassic to the end of late Cretaceous, includes not only seven large-scale dinosaur skeletons, but also fossils of other dinosaur skeletons and fossils of ichthyosaur and other fishes. It must be attractive and influential due to such a great scale and novel design.
