 Zhejiang Museum of Natural History is an important place to publicize and educate culture. It aims at making full use of various museum resources to provide the public with excellent services to the utmost extent, and finally promoting the development of social culture as well as cultural and ideological progress. The exhibition is the basic form of the museum for foreign exchange. There are two methods to advocate social education: one is to invite spectators to pay a visit, the other is to push exhibitions and lectures outdoors.

  In the exhibition hall since 1998, ZMNH has held various exhibitions for more than 100 times, activities and lectures for over 100 times, and has built an interactive tie with around 150 schools. The museum has been entitled the “National Base for Science Education”, “Patriotic Education Base in Zhejiang Province”, “Demonstration Base of Ecological Environment in Zhejiang Province”, and so forth. More activities will be applied to popularize scientific knowledge by richer contents and forms when the new museum is open to the public. For example, the pupil guide, lectures of science popularization, lectures for the adolescent, exhibition riddles, the interactive experience in different scenes, practice in the open laboratory, DIY activities, the activity of theme for half of the day, the activity for holiday and family, social practice, experience in the field, teenage teams to popularize science, volunteer teams and so on.
